IS OBAMA THE NEXT GEORGE BUSH?

As the United States sinks deeper and deeper into what may be another depression it befuddles me that scores of democrats who are crying for a change from the Bush administration may be endorsing and voting for a man who is the better spoken democratic equal of President Bush. Senator Barack Obama is the more charismatic grammatically inclined version of the man who is now running our country. The similarities are all there, but are being ignored by the media and the citizens.
Obama, like the last two Bush campaigns is playing off of the fears and concerns of voters with no real merit behind what he is saying.
In Bush’s first campaign Vice-President Al Gore was faced with the rumor that he was for gun control. That was not an issue with Gore but was put out there by the republicans to take away states where gun control would be an issue. Senator John Kerry faced issues on flip flopping, being criticized as an undeserving war hero and a supporter of gay marriages. Ideas again all proposed and distorted by the Republican Party.
You may ask, how is Obama doing this? In his most recent commercials Obama says that he has never taken money from an oil company, insinuating that the other candidates may have. However, no one can legally take money from an oil company for their campaign, which means none of them have.
What Obama doesn’t tell the public is he has received $213,000 in donations from oil company employees according to Senator Hillary Clinton’s staff. People that work for the oil companies also happen to be involved with Obama’s campaign.
Who currently has ties with oil companies and is running our country?
Obama may not be lying but he’s misleading the public to believe that he is above what the others are not. And with all the money he as raised for his campaign I highly doubt it’s all or mostly come from middle class citizens who are struggling to make ends meet, and even his Hollywood following can only donate so much.
What Obama is also forgetting to tell us and what the media is overlooking or choosing not to tell us is that Obama voted in favor of an energy bill that was put forward by Vice President Dick Cheney. According to Hillary’s press staff the bill has been referred to as a “piniata of perks” and one of the best energy bills for oil companies. Hillary voted against the bill.
Obama may not be taking money from the oil companies but he sure wants to give it back to them.
Once again, another similarity to our reigning head of state.
Obama also misleads the public by telling them he was against the War in Iraq. Since he was just a Illinois state senator when the United States went to war he wouldn’t have voted on the issue or been privy to the information given to the U.S. senate. It’s easy to say you were against it when you weren’t involved with the decision.
The similarities don’t end with misleading the public and supporting oil companies. As Obama lost several important states at the end of February and beginning of March, instead of forging on like Hillary did, he took a vacation with his family. Could he not take the pressure? Maybe he had a boil like the one Bush grew during the Florida debacle of 2000 when he was faced with the possible loss of the election.
In the middle of what is the potential biggest job in his career, Obama takes time off to go to the Virgin Islands. Bush is know for his excessive vacationing especially in times of crisis, is that what we have to look forward to with Obama?
And correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t it Bush that convinced us the country was divided and that he would be the one to bring us all together? Now Obama is telling us the exact same thing. He has convinced millions that America is divided and that he can unite everyone and all political parties.
Since Obama has only been in the United States Senate for 2 years, one of which he has been running for office, what proof can he offer that he has these capabilities? Hillary has been a Senator for more than one term and can show a successful trend in her political successes working with republicans. The same can also be said for Senator John McCain.
Obama’s entire campaign seems to stand on exaggerations and playing on the fears of the American people. He has lied his way through a scandal with his Preacher, going back and forth on whether he ever heard him utter racial slurs and then calls his own grandmother a “typical white person.” Obama says this is not a campaign based on race but continues to remind the public that his is mixed and makes sure he mentions all races and ethnic backgrounds in his speeches.
How can you unite people if you keep telling them how they are different?
The truth is we really don’t know who Obama is. He gives a very vague account of his growing up and after making his own racial statement puts out ad’s showcasing his white relatives.
Like Bush, Obama may not have been on his own path to become president but instead may have been convinced to run by a group with there own agenda. It was rumored that Bush never had an interest to run for president but was persuaded by the same group that happened to work with his father and then became part of his administration. Obama has barely stepped in the water yet alone get his feet wet in Washington but feels he is qualified to run for President. And the first one to come out and support him is the woman who has access to millions of American’s everyday.
Obama’s similarities with the current administration are not his only downfall. I have yet to hear or read an original or full idea from Obama. He’s copied the republicans campaign tactics right down to the “unifying” everyone to the misleading of morals of his competition. His vague programs mirror Hillary’s ideas, but without her foundation. Probably because if they did it would be considered plagiarism.
The question is will these same voters that put Bush into the White House twice fall for the same rhetoric from a less qualified candidate. Besides the poor grammar and inability to deliver a speech without smirking
